The Rich Mountain Battlefield Foundation needs our help. The main issue they are confronting is the presence of vandalism and graffiti on or near the battlefield. Because of the relatively remote location, the board hopes to raise money for help in the upkeep and preservation of the existing battlefield. Click on an image below to see a larger version.
RAISE PRESERVATION DONATIONS

HOW MUCH CAN YOU RAISE?

As a goal, we ask that you raise $100. With 400 participants, that would $40,000 alone. Any questions should be directed to Mike "Dusty" Chapman by clicking here.

We are asking each participant to raise preservation donations for Rich Mountain. Prizes will be given to the top four money-raisers for the event:

1ST PRIZE - Wet Plate By Robert Szabo.
2ND PRIZE - Handsewn Shirt By Morris Clothiers.
3RD PRIZE - One-Year Membership to the Civil War Preservation Trust.
4TH PRIZE - Silk-Embroidered Housewife By Kathy Bradford

COLLECT OLD CELL PHONES

For more information, please visit the Project Recell web site at:

www.projectrecell.com

If you have questions, please contact Doug Cooper directly at coop2911@msn.com.

FROM DOUG COOPER:

1) Each of us collect from friends, neighbors and coworkers as many old cell phones (and accessories like chargers and headsets) prior to the event and bring them to Rich Mountain in a box.
2) The phones will be collected in a bigger box at registration that Doug will oversee and then turn them over to RMBF.
3) Project ReCell then contracts with UPS to pick up the phones (they pay shipping) and then they cut a check for the phones directly to the Battlefield Foundation.
4) For those folks who are flying in or who collect too many to drive in, UPS will also come to your door to collect them free of charge and ship to Project Recell.
5) You get a donation tax credit as well.

OUR GOAL - $500

SEND YOUR REGISTRATION FEE

The registration fee is $20 for Rich Mountain. In an effort to maximize our donation to the battlefield, we are spending as little as possible on expenses - relying mostly on donations and the hard work of those involved in planning the event.

Any questions should be directed to Mike "Dusty" Chapman by clicking here.

OUR GOAL - $8,000
